How to burn the backhouse:

+ Burn candle within sight and on a flat surface

+ Keep away from pets, little ones & combustibles

+ Burn on a heat resistant surface

+ Before relighting, trim wick 1/4" and remove loose pieces

+ Stop burning when only 1/4” of wax remains

+ Don’t burn for more than 4 hours at a time. It will be tough, but trust us on this one.

We use a proprietary wax blend, phthalate-free premium fragrance oil, and lead-free wick.

Shipping:

We only ship within the United States. All orders are processed and shipped from our backhouse in Newport Beach within 2–4 business days. Once shipped, continental domestic orders may take 2–4 days to arrive, dependent on location. Alaska and Hawaii may take a bit longer. Backhouse prefers UPS ground shipping (estimated 1–4 days) but might use Fedex Ground/2-day or USPS in some instances.

Returns:

We will gladly accept returns/exchanges on any items that are in their original condition along with all packaging. Please email us at [email protected] with your request for return and we’ll issue a Return Authorization Form with a Return Authorization Number (RA#), along with instructions for returning your candle.

I love it!

I don't usually like scents that are too sweet, like vanilla or pumpkin, but I decided to give this candle a try, Yes, there is a sweet, pumpkin-y base to this scent, but also a spark of cinnamon and other notes that tone down anything that might be cloying. I really like the warm, relaxing feel from this scent and would buy it again. Also, extra points for the beautiful packaging in the shipping box and the little free gifts. Thank you!

Just as Pumpkin Spice Lattes taste like Fall, the Jack candle smells like Fall. I will be burning this candle in my home well into November (whilst sipping my Pumpkin Spice Lattes).

First, what nice packing and gorgeous packaging. Clean, feels special, like boutique, and friendly.

I haven't burned this candle yet because I cannot decide to keep for a very special gift or burn it as a gift to myself!
But they sent some tea candles as an extra and those scents burn so well! For tiny tea candle, the scent fills the room BEFORE burning and then once burned, its the whole house! And I am a person who is sensitive to scents, gets headaches from perfumes and lots of candles. I've given away some Yankee scents, and absolutely cannot burn Bath and Body works candles. But these are pure- or something- because even the florals, which usually kill me don't . Oh, So great!!!

I ordered a Jack mini candle. It has a lovely, warm pumpkin and vanilla scent which will make you want to grab a cup of hot cider and sit by a fire. I keep it on my bedside table and can even smell it when it is not lit. Burns beautifully, and I love the elegant packaging in the little tin. Love my Jack!

The mini JACK is perfect for guest bathroom, small vestibule, office, fireplace mantle. Don’t let the “mini” fool you - amazing pumpkin scent is same as the larger votive , conveniently portable. Love the black and white simple design that contrasts well with any orange, teal, cantaloupe green decor items I chose to surround it with.
