APOLENA [sea salt]

Our favorite mild fragrance showcases the beautiful complexities of sea notes. Composed of sea salt, sage, and ambrette seed, it evokes feelings of freedom and pleasure, like an enjoyable walk along Balboa Island on a beautiful summer morning.
COLONY [cassis]

GROVE [orange blossom]

Our popular pine scented candle that makes you think “Christmas time”, with mild citrus top notes, earthy undercurrents of cedar and evergreen, and a woody, fir base. But for some, the scent of pine is a year-round fav, like taking a hike on your favorite pine tree lined trail.
PETALUMA [berry]
key notes: berry, pink peppercorn, rose petals
The tangy richness of freshly picked blackcurrant berries and lively accents of flowery rose petals create this light, floral, and feminine scent.
Candle Care
➕ On your first use, burn your candle for 2 hours to allow the wax to melt evenly to the edge of the jar.
➕ after your candle cools, wipe any black residue off of the top with a paper towel to keep it looking good as new!
➕ Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before relighting to avoid a large flame, smoking and wax discoloration.
➕ Fluctuations in temperature can cause the wax to contract and pull away from the sides of the glass. This is common when candles are shipped or stored in environments with varying temperature. Once the candle is lit, you will see the contraction of the wax correct itself.

We use a proprietary blended soy/vegetable wax, phthalate-free premium fragrance oil, and lead-free wick.

We only ship within the United States.All orders are processed and shipped from our backhouse in Newport Beach within 2–4 business days. Once shipped, continental domestic orders may take 2–4 days to arrive, dependent on location. Alaska and Hawaii may take a bit longer.Backhouse prefers UPS ground shipping (estimated 1–4 days) but might use Fedex Ground/2-day or USPS in some instances.
Returns:
We will gladly accept returns/exchanges on any items that are in their original condition along with all packaging. Please email us at hello@backhousefragrances.com with your request for return and we’ll issue a Return Authorization Form with a Return Authorization Number (RA#), along with instructions for returning your candle.

I'd love to review this, but it hasn't arrived and I ordered it weeks ago. Not impressed with how slow this company ships their products. I messaged their customer service last week asking about my order and never heard back from them.
The one-star review above is for the samples they sent me. They are votive candles, but they didn't have wicks. Not really sure what I'm supposed to do with them.

On the day you ordered we unfortnatley had a shipping mix-up where the postal office lost a chunk of our packages. We re-sent your order as soon as we caught this, and your original one shipped as well. Both have arrived and we hope you are able to enjoy them. We also refunded you the price of your order! Our free sample pack we ship out free of charge are for the customers to smell and see what scents they like before they buy. I neglected to review my Lido candle in my previous review of Colony. I was skeptical to order a sandalwood scent fearing it would be very heavy like incense I remembered from college days. It is definitely not the same! Everyone who has smelled it really liked it.

This hand wash is amazing. To start with the bottle is super cute and looks nice on the sink. The hand wash comes out nicely and doesn’t get all over the sink when pushed. The lather on your hands smells so good. I will be buying this again for my other bathrooms and kitchen sink.
Backhouse did it again! I needed a last minute hostess gift so I ordered a Lido candle online, swung by and picked it up at the gate, used the bag, tissue ribbon and tag to wrap it and headed to the airport. The hostesses were so thrilled with the beautiful candle.

These are hands down the best candles. I’ve burned lido and just bought the Apolena! I smelled it at a friends house and was obsessed. Not only with the scent , but I also LOVE how the candles actually burn. No wasted wax on the sides of the candle holder…!! Huge bonus! Also customer service is perfection!
