When not at home with the kids or enjoying a chance weekend getaway with my husband, I can only hope for the next best thing...spending cherished time with girlfriends. It was on one occasion spent on a magical girl’s weekend away in mystic Joshua Tree that I created one of our signature scents. Though brief in history, the meaningfulness behind this scent is a short story worth telling.
After a visit to the legendary Pappy & Harriet’s bar in town, our stay brought us to a small desert homestead where we were blessed with painted sunrises, dusky sunsets and stargazing galore. We spent the weekend making Palomas under the shade of a singular tree which shared our space at The Harriet House. Under that single tree, we toasted our grapefruit cocktails, we laughed, we cried, we grew, we bonded...and the fragrance HARRIET’S TREE was born.
